My name is Candy (yes, it’s my given name) and I’m enrolled in the General Sciences Program. It is my second semester at Kwantlen and I’m currently taking my prerequisites for Nursing as I hope to become a pediatric nurse in the future. With my dream of being a Nurse and desire to see the world, I want to provide health care for those less fortunate in remote areas.
I am taking Sociology to broaden the way I see the world. I want to understand society with new eyes. Sociology would be truly beneficial for me as an aspiring Nursing student. I will be able to apply different concepts and connect patterns of human behaviour in the work field.
If there’s one thing you should know about me… I love food. I love to eat. On many occasions, it has been proven that I have an appetite for destruction. In complete contrast, I also enjoy staying active. I run outdoors leisurely and competitively; I’m in the process of training for the BMO half marathon. I badly injured my knee while training last year, which makes me more excited for it this year. I am an adventure junkie, I am greatly fond of the outdoors. This summer I went zip lining, paddle boarding, windsurfing, water biking, rock climbing, ATV-ing and jet skiing (in Mexico).
